Thank you for accepting Dr. Gutierrez’s invitation to be an expert participant in the Global Climate Change Situation Room.

Please see that attached letter and graphic for the front page of the website for the Situation Room.

On behalf of The Millennium Project, I look forward to working with you.  Please feel free to contact me at anytime.  You may not hear much from use for the next few weeks as we are just getting organized now.

Hi Jerry,
            How are you?
What a wonderful work for a wonderful world.
I start to sent you a name of Argentinean experts for to you invite then, the first is Alieto Aldo Guadagni, for energy group his mail is alietoguadagni@hotmail.com. I already asked him and  he accept.
Attached is her CV.
Please copy me the invitation

By the way I have been exchanging ideas with Hector about new ways to help the reconstruction of Chile with a vision and sustainable development criteria.
I think the MP would help identify appropriate technologies which preserve infrastructure and housing against future disasters of nature in such areas as water purification and desalination systems, wireless emergency communications systems, solar, wind or other, vaccinations, medical care, alternative education, etc.etc. I would be grateful if you indicate whether you think it would be worth spending a few days of work a draft proposal for a subsequent consultation with the other nodes and sponsors

All the best
Miguel

Hi everybody!

Here’s an update on the Collective Intelligence for the Global Climate Change Situation Room:

As you may remember, Youngsook Park, Chair of the Korean Node convinced the City of Gimcheon, Korea (her home town) to fund the establishment of the Global Climate Change Situation Room http://www.millennium-project.org/millennium/GCCSR.html based on the GENIS model of collective intelligence (2009 State of the Future CD chapter 6 or 2008 SOF chapter 5).

So, how are we doing and how can you participate?

1.  Attached are my working notes - not for circulation beyond this group, please.

1.1 You comments in general are welcome on any part of the attached points 10.

1.2 Please look at the related activities listed in points 4.1 though 4.12 and let me know if there are others that you think should be added.  We plan to work with all these sites and connect their information into an integrated whole and explore synergies with the management of the situation room in Korea.

1.3 The front end will have something like the diagram in point 3.  Comments welcome.

1.4  Look through the lists on 5.1 through 5.6 for the expert groups. If you would like to recommend experts for these groups, you are welcome to use (and customize as needed) the attached invitation or you can send me their name and email address for use to invite them – but say for which group.

1.5 The software will have some automated search systems and manual search systems that will need some initial subjects to begin growing the information system.  Please look over item 8. Search terms for automatic feeds - here’s a beginning and let me know your additions and/or changes.

2.  Ted Gordon, Frank Catanzaro, Jack Park, and I have begun regular meetings on ooVoo (alternative to Skype) to coordinate integration of various forms of software into a unique collective intelligence platform.  If all goes well, Frank’s integration will be accessible for initial use and feedback in a couple of weeks – will let you know.  Jack Park’s integration would be installed in Korea toward the end of April.

3. I will go to China (invited to speak at the Sichuan International Clean Energy Summit in Chengdu), then will visit with the Beijing Node before going to Korea 19 April to begin working with the  Global Climate Change Situation Room staff.  A few days after I arrive, Jack plans to join me in Korea for the installation of the software and training.

Although the physical Situation Room will be in Korea, it is being designed so at all can use it and improve it.

So, please look over the attached a let me know your improvements.

Futuristically yours,

Jerry
